GoTrack makes car tracking simple with easy to set up GPS trackers and a simple app. Tracking is even easier when you set up your units to send you alerts as text messages. This allows you to get all the important notifications as they occur instead of when you log on to the app. If you prefer, alerts can be sent to you through email. Set Up A Special User
To set up text alerts, you add a new user with a special email address. Log into your account on the GoTrack website and select the Users tab on the top right corner of the screen. When you do, you will see a list of the current users set up for your account. Click on Add New User (which will be on the top right corner of this screen). The New User Set Up Screen will launch. It is a very simple form asking for a first and last name, an email address, password and a permission level. Leave the permission set to “Admin.” Fill in whatever name and password you wish, but you will need to enter a special email address that includes the cell phone number that you want to receive the text messages.
Find Your Special User Email Address
The first part of this address is simply the number one (1) followed by the phone’s three digit area code and phone number without any spaces , hyphens or dashes. Following this ten digit number will be the “@ section” of the email address and that will depend on your cell phone service provider. Just check this list to find the right address:

If your cell phone number is (888) 555-2017 and your provider is Sprint then the email address you would enter is 18885552017@ messaging. sprintpcs.com. Once you have set up this new user, log out of your regular account and log back in using the email and password you just entered. Click the Settings tab and select Enable Notifications for all Vehicles in this Account.
