Speed Alerts and Viewing Detailed Activity

Is Speeding An Issue for Your Drivers?

Speeding continues to be a contributing factor in a significant number of roadway accidents.  Our speeding report allows you to view the speeding event history of your device(s) for a particular day.   This report will show you the location, speed, event type, and time of activity.

To access this report from your Overview screen follow these steps:

  • Click on the “Reports” tab.
  • Click on the “Device Name” you wish to view.
  • Click “Speeding” at the top of the page.   This will bring up the report for the current day.
  • From here you can choose a different date from the drop down.
    • *NOTE*  If you change the date, be sure to click “Go” to load the report for that day.
  • On this screen, you are able to change the device from the drop down. Again, be sure to click “Go” after any changes are made.
  • This report will also show the activity on a map to be able to view the trial of activity for the day.

This report will only show alerts if the device travels faster than the speed listed in your Settings.   The default speed setting is 80mph.  To edit the default speed, click “Settings” and enter in a new speed limit (top right hand side of the Settings page).   After you update the speed limit, be sure to click “Save” and you can view the Speeding report again with the updated speed limit.
